The January transfer window has been open since the start of the month, but as of yet the Blues have not made a registering despite Frank Lampard admits he needs to bolster his attacking options.
“In attacking regions, because we will need to be clinical,” he said when asked about his priorities after the 1-0 defeat by Newcastle United. “I would not say’a goalscorer’ but we will need to be more clinical in the box concerning our front line.

The 32-year-old is out of contract in the Parc des Princes in the summer and has already submitted a transfer request amid connections to the Blues in addition to Manchester United.
“Edinson Cavani has requested to leave this month,” PSG sporting manager Leonardo revealed when talking after the 1-0 win against Lorient from the Coupe de France last weekend.

That said, it is understood that Madrid are convinced their enhanced bid will be sufficient to convince PSG thus handing a blow to Chelsea in their hunt for a new forward with deadline day quickly approaching.
